Sasa is now one day over her due date and the doctors are wary of letting the baby go much over 4kg. She has been admitted to the hospital and given a bed today (Saturday). Another scan has been done to estimate the baby 's weight (4.05kg) and she is being very well monitored. We came to meet her and Oliver at her bed on the 9th floor to be greeted by galloping horse noises. The baby's heart was being monitored (all well). The hospital seems very nice. They expect 1800 babies to be delivered in a month but are still very attentive. It is a public hospital. Private ones are totally unaffordable. This one still costs 4 figures in £.
So one way or another this is it. This weekend. Natural birth or induced birth and hopefully no more than that.
You must all be glad in a funny way that things are moving. Do hope everything goes smoothly and relatively quickly for Sasa. Love to her and Oliver. Tell them Granny and Grampa are on tenterhooks here (as am I)! Xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean galloping horse noises?! x Isabelle
ReplyDeleteNoises were coming from the monitor machine amplifying the heart beat. Babies beat very fast.
DeleteI remember the galloping horse well - they sound like that across the globe then :) Yey!! Can't wait! super excited :) xx
ReplyDeleteWish Sasa (and Oliver of course) all the best! We think of you a lot, these are exciting times indeed....
ReplyDelete4.5Kg that will be a hungry baby. Glad you are arrived safely and had time to settle in before the action began. Hope all goes smoothly. I bet it is not every day the hospital has so many monks in it's midst.
